Assalamu alaikum, I'm Helena, 20, and Muslim. I'm English, Egyptian & a teeny bit Turkish. But mostly English :P
I started wearing hijab when I was 7, but when I was 14 I began taking it off when I went out. Alhamdulillah I had a wakeup call about a year ago, and I wear it full time now. This blog does not aim to promote the hijab as a fashion statement, but it is a means for me to become a better muslim and to remind myself and others that hijab is empowering, elegant, and beautiful :)

Quick rubbish photo before uni… My mum gave me this cardigan that was hers when she was younger 3 years ago, and yesterday was the first time I’ve ever worn it out… or actually plucked up the courage to wear it out :P I was scared it was a little too ott, but then yesterday I looked at it, looked at the weather outside and thought, ‘screw it’. It’s yummy <3
